Bowen Foundation for AutismThe Bowen Foundation for Autism is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the lives of children with autism in Maryland. They award grants to local families who are struggling to pay for needed services to benefit children with autism.

Since 2007, the Bowen Foundation for Autism has raised more than $300,000 to help local families pay for every day expenses: doctors’ appointments, behavioral therapies, safety equipment, learning devices and other services. Insurance covers very little of these necessary services and treatments, while some families don’t even have coverage. Their goal is to help where possible to provide a little relief, and a little hope.

The foundation runs a grant program in partnership with The Arc of the Central Chesapeake to reach families area families who need a little help. They work to stretch their dollars to impact as many lives as possible.

The foundation organizes charity events to raise funds, including the annual Bowen Foundation Football Bash. There are various volunteer opportunities and activities to organize and meet others concerned with the lives of those touched by Autism.

HCR contributes funds to the Foundation and participates in the Annual Bash. We proudly support the efforts of those who work tireless to improve the lives of children on the spectrum.
